Dr. John Hardebeck selected as board's delegate
for the Association of California Healthcare Districts' annual meeting
Del Cerro resident Dr. John Hardebeck, president of the Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD) board of directors, who has served on the GHD board since 2000, has been selected to serve as the board's delegate to the Association of California Healthcare Districts (ACHD).
Hardebeck, a retired physician who was an original medical staff member at Grossmont Hospital when it opened in 1955, is in his first year to serve as board president. As the board's delegate, Hardebeck is scheduled to attend ACHD's annual meeting, Sept. 27-20 in San Diego.
Rancho Cordova, Calif.-based ACHD, a statewide trade and legislative advocacy organization founded in 1951, represents more than 70 healthcare districts throughout the state.
The Grossmont Healthcare District, a public agency in San Diego's East County region, supports various health-related community programs and services in San Diego's East County region and serves as landlord of Grossmont Hospital on behalf of local taxpayers. The District, formed in 1952, is governed by a five-member board of directors, each elected to four-year terms, who represent nearly 500,000 people residing within the District's 750 square miles in San Diego's East County.
