News from the Grossmont Healthcare District

The Grossmont Healthcare District (GHD) is asking the public to submit names of East County residents who help advance the delivery of quality healthcare locally for its annual Healthcare Hero Awards program.

Nominees for a 2007 GHD Healthcare Hero Award can include front-line caregivers, volunteers with support groups or civic and community groups, educators and pastoral care providers, as well as first-responders and employees of healthcare-related organizations who spend extra time beyond their normal job responsibilities, according to Dr. John Hardebeck, GHD 2006 board president.

"We solicit the assistance of all East County residents because we want to recognize those unsung healthcare heroes, those inspirational individuals who give extraordinary care and demonstrate selfless dedication resulting in measurable outcomes that improves the quality of life in East County," Hardebeck said.
