GHD presents 2012 scholarships to high school healthcare scholars
Healthcare District (GHD), a public agency that supports various health-related
community programs and services in San Diegoís East County region, recently
presented $81,000 in scholarships to 36 high school students who are interested
in a healthcare professions career.
The students from 18 different high schools in the East County were selected by school administrators for their academic excellence, outstanding citizenship and a desire to improve our world in the healthcare field, according to GHD 2012 board president Debbie McElravy. Two students from each high school received a GHD scholarship of either $3,000 or $1,500. The students included (name of the high school follows the studentís names):

Since 1999, GHD has awarded $706,000 scholarships to hundreds of local high school students interested in a healthcare career.
