Advancing Health Literacy Program

The Grossmont Healthcare District along with San Ysidro Health, Heartland Fire & Rescue, and other East County partner staff have recently supported community workshops to answer the questions about 9-1-1. These workshops are mainly designed for the Chaldean community and other minority groups. You can attend in person or watch live on Facebook!

To help provide East County communities with info on when to call 9-1-1, the Grossmont Healthcare District is a proud project partner in the San Diego Advancing Health Literacy Program, which was supported by Award Number 1CPIMP211287-01-00 issued by the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health of the U.S. 42 Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of a financial assistance award totaling $4,000,000 with 100 percent funded by the Office of Minority Health/OASH/HHS.
