Alzheimer’s Disease: Prevention & Potential Treatments
Dr. Michael Plopper is a Board-Certified Geriatric Psychiatrist with 25 years of experience conducting research on Alzheimer’s disease. He was formerly Chief Medical Officer of Sharp Behavioral Health Services and is currently the Principal Investigator at Sharp Neurocognitive Research Center. His major research interest is to find effective treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.
We will discuss:
1) Evidence-based strategies to delay or prevent the onset of dementia
2) Treatments under study that may affect the course of the disease.
3) Deciding whether or not participation in research is a good idea for you.
When: Monday, March 13th (Presentation: 12 PM-1 PM, Free memory screenings 1-4 PM)

Future memory screenings: We’ll also be hosting memory screenings from 11 AM – 2 PM on April 17, May 8, and June 12. You may reserve an appointment through the Library.
