The Board of Directors is the governing body of the Grossmont Healthcare District. All District governance shall be exercised by or under the direction of the Board. The Board then appropriately delegates to District officers and employees for all operations. The Board consists of five members, each a registered voter residing in the District, elected by its residents.

  • Board of Directors Meetings: Every first Tuesday and third Thursday of the month the Board votes and makes decisions on District business. If said meeting date falls on a legal holiday, the meeting will be rescheduled to the next available date.
    • Meetings are open to the public for attendance in person at GHD’s Conference Center Auditorium (9001 Wakarusa St. La Mesa, CA 91942) or via Zoom (link available by clicking each calendar event).
    • Members of the public are encouraged to attend and can make public comment (no more than 3 minutes) by filling out a “request to speak form” before attending or by emailing us your written comments to be read aloud or summarized during the meeting (received no later than 2 hours before the start of the meeting).
  • Committee Meetings: Two Board members sit on each committee and rotate every calendar year. Committee meetings are for officers and Board members to discuss recommendations on District business to then present to the full Board during Board of Directors Meetings.
  • Special Meetings: Special meetings are typically called for time-sensitive projects that require earlier decisions.
