Learn how to achieve healthy aging! We’ll discuss what are the normal changes in mood & sleep patterns as you age, how to avoid depression, and when to ask for help. There is an advantage in having specialized care by a geriatric psychiatrist, and Dr. Yagudayeva has expertise in both the biological and psychological changes that occur with aging. She often works in tandem with a neurologist to evaluate, diagnose and treat the psychiatric manifestations of dementia.

Speaker: Raisa Yagudayeva, DO, is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and board-certified geriatric psychiatrist. She completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at UC San Diego School of Medicine and a residency in psychiatry at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, where she served as Chief Resident. She earned her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has clinical expertise in treating older adults with a variety of psychiatric illnesses, from neurobehavioral symptoms of dementia to chronic psychotic disorders. Since Dr. Yagudayeva took on the Medical Director role of the SBH inpatient program in 2022, the program has flourished under her leadership – earning hospital-wide recognition for their patient-centered care, teaching excellence, and teamwork.
